Itinerary

Off Finland’s south-west coast lies one of the country’s most amazing and unique regions. The Turku Archipelago consists
of over 20,000 islands, and is a stunning area of natural beauty. Our popular cycling tour hops from island to island using
local ferries.
Included in the package is accommodation in a combination of small island boutique hotels, converted school houses and

Day 1 Transfer by train to Turku : Arrive Turku and collect bikes for the next week

DAY 1 ARRIVAL TO TURKU
Personal arrival to Turku, a bustling summer
city on the south-west coast of Finland. There
is a medieval castle and cathedral, and a wide
selection of bars, cafes, and restaurants.

Day 2, Turku Transfer to Nauvo : Bike TURKU – NAUVO

TURKU – NAUVO (57km + ferry)
Collect your bicycles and ride south-east out of
the city. A fine system of Bike Lanes keeps you out
of the traffic as you head into the archipelago. 1
short ferry brings you to the island of Nauvo for
overnight stay by the sea.

Day 3 : Nauvo-Houtskar

NAUVO – HOUTSKÄR (38km + ferries)
A choice of routes takes you across a couple
of islands to Houtskär. An excellent dinner is
included tonight in hotel’s top-rated restaurant.

Day 4 : Houtskar- Korpo

HOUTSKÄR – KORPO (20km + ferry
between hotels, + extra cycling according to own wishes)
There is one relaxing ferry journey today between
2 of the biggest of the archipelago islands. Its
20km riding distance between the overnight
hotels but there are various possible ways to get
extra cycling in for those who wish.
Dinner tonight is a 5 course local tasting menu in
the highly-regarded hotel restaurant.
Overnight on Korpo island (BD)

Day 5 : Korpo – Naantali

KORPO – NAANTALI (57km + ferries)
Returning to Nauvo, the main archipelago island,
take the ferry north back to the mainland and
continue by bike to Naantali, an idyllic harbour
village of cobbled streets and old wooden houses.
There is a selection of local restaurants to choose
from for dinner.

Day 6 : Naantali Turku

NAANTALI-TURKU (17km)
Free time in Naantali, or in Turku according to your
preference. Short ride back to Turku to return your
bicycles.

Is post departure travel insurance required?

Yes, comprehensive Travel Insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, medical, emergency travel and assistance is compulsory.
Please ensure you also have comprehensive insurance for baggage, jewellery, electrical devices, cameras, cell phones etc in the event of theft. Travel Insurance should be applied for as soon as you have confirmed arrangements and settled deposit payments.

Is a visa required?

It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure that they hold a valid passport and all necessary visas.
Clients must have sufficient cash on hand for a visa where required.
Where e-visas are available, we encourage all travellers to obtain them before arrival.
Passports MUST be valid for 6 months after your travel date.

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required on acceptance of quotation to secure reservations.
