November 28 – December 5, 2026 | Itinerary

Cross the sea to wild beauty
After breakfast, board a panga (motorboat) for a 90-minute ride to Isla Espíritu Santo. Settle into your safari-style tent at Camp Cacela, located right on the sand. After lunch, paddle your kayak past dramatic cliffs and hidden beaches. Watch for sea turtles and nesting birds as your guides share the island’s geological and ecological history. Enjoy happy hour at camp and dine under the stars.
Espiritu Santo National Park in the Sea of Cortez is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is one of the best marine life viewing destinations in the world. Whales, dolphins, whale sharks, sea turtles, manta rays and plenty of beautiful tropical fish call the surrounding waters home, while a terrific range of bird species including Blue-footed Boobies, Reddish Egrets, Great Blue Herons and Yellow-footed Gulls frequent the island’s skies and shores. Camp Cecil features large dome tents with real beds, lovely linens, towels for beach and bath, and chairs for sitting outside. Espiritu Xantus Café is where our on-site chef makes wonderful meals for you every day – and daily happy hour of course – and there are sun showers and compost toilet cabañas.
